INNOVATION . PERFORMANCE . SAFETY
At Bostech, we’ve developed a reputation as one of the leading industry exploration drilling contractiors. We’re committed to delivering high quality, cost effective drilling services, adhering to all relevant industry standards. Some of the key drilling services provided include air core drilling, RAB drilling, Zero impact drilling and slimline reverse circulation drilling. Our rigs are capable of drilling a whole range of unconsolidated, sandy and heavy clay horizons that have proven difficult for other drilling techniques.
And when it comes to safety we make no compromises, having achieved and maintained Certification to AS/NZS 4801:2001 (Safety Management Systems) since 2016.
Expert Drilling Services
Air Core Drilling
Featuring unrivalled innovation and productivity, the Bostech Air Core system sets the benchmark in our industry and has been developed over many years to maximise productivity, reliability and the overall improvement of sample quality.
Zero Impact
Today, we are still the front runner in the development and practice of aircore drilling with a fleet of rigs that maximise our commitment to Zero Impact Drilling. We avoid any noticeable or lasting side effects or damage to the immediate environment. We are dedicated to preserving Western Australia, and Australia. At Bostech we're committed to Zero Impact Drilling. A compact Zero Impact Trailer, enables us to contain all drill samples, cuttings, outside returns, ground water and drill waste — preventing any harm to the drill site. The site is protected from any oils spills or contamination to ensure the environment is protected.
Versatile
Our air core system is extremely versatile, and can drill holes in ground from Paleo channel, sand and light clays through to sedimentary and basement clay. It can also penetrate hard bands to give small core samples in competent geology.
Cost-Effective
Hole sizes are generally 85mm-87mm in diameter, produced with rapid penetration rates, which makes it an extremely cost effective drilling method. Air core drilling is a much cheaper alternative when compared to RC drilling, which means more metres and ground can be covered, for less cost.
Lightweight Rigs
Our lightweight aircore rigs are highly manoeuvreable, have minimal impact on the environment and require much less surface preparation to allow the rig to access remote areas.
Rotary Air Blast Drilling
RAB Drilling is a traditional drilling method that is not as commonly used today, mainly because it’s less accurate than AirCore drilling - due to the use of a single tube.
As a result, samples have a greater chance of becoming contaminated, due to contact with the geology of the drill hole. This differs to air core drilling, where the sample is isolated from the geology by the sample tube.
As specialists in RAB drilling, we offer extensive experience and knowledge in this technique.
